Replace Email with Jabber

This mod replace completely the Email System from vBulletin to Jabber Messaging System.

This is useful if you want build a community, that completely based on Jabber or for existing communities, if you have only Email Address from GMX, 1 & 1, WEB.DE, Google Mail or Home of the Sebijk.com. This Email providers have a own Jabber server and the Email Address from these Providers is a Jabber ID, too.

This Modification have a modifed class_mail.php, that includes the Jabber Functions. If you upgrade your vBulletin, please reupload the class_mail.php from this Modification.

Requirements:

PHP Version 5 or higher (64-Bit needs 5.2.6 or higher)
vBulletin 3.8 (older versions not tested)
A Jabber Account for sending Messages

Install Instructions:

1. Download and unpack replace_email_with_jabber.zip
2. Upload the content of Folder upload to vBulletin root Directory.
3. Go to vBulletin Admincp vBulletin Settings -> E-Mail Options.

5. Go to Maintenance -> Diagnostics and Test Jabber .
6. Customize your Language file (Replace Email to Jabber).
7. Done
