I don't really know if such an Extension is already available but I don't think so. I was looking for a way to display the latest forum discussions on my Homepage - not in my vB forum. I didn't use CMPS. Another user told me that he paid for this feature because he wasn't able to find it here. However it's very easy to code this, so I did it.
This Hack uses some parts of the PEAR Database Abstraction Layer. This isn't really necessary. You could do all with the standard php functions. So you don't have to use this additional 3 files. But PEAR is a very nice class library
This release is alpha state. So far it works fine. But I coded this hack in the last 30 minutes. So it could be that there is some room for improvements...
