This is just a little add-on I made for the Admin CP. It's a quick and easy way to retrieve / download a thread.

The reason I made it is because several times I have been asked for copies of threads that were no longer publically available, for one reason or another. This tool assumes you already know the thread ID number. Then there are additional options...

• strip quoted text
• optional string to mark where stripped quoted text was.
• strip user markup code
• strip smilies

Then you can either view the thread right in the page, download a text version, or download an xml version. That's about it. No big deal, but maybe someone else will find this useful.

Please note this is only intended as an admin utility... There are already a few other hacks out there for thread downloading in the public forums. I have no plans to expand this hack to be used anywhere but the Admin cp.

Installation

1. Copy contents of "upload" folder to corresponding directories on your forum.
2. Import product-fetchthread.xml (Admin CP -> Plugin System -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product)
3. Refresh your Admin CP nav panel.
