Opera users love the feature for typing f.ex. "g vbulletin styles" in the address bar for searching a term in google. It would be nice to have this feature for vbulletin.org, wouldn´t it? Here´ s how you do it: 1.) in Opera, goto "Help" -> "about Opera" and find out where your path to your config files are. 2.) go to that directory and make a copy paste of search.ini and rename the old one to search.ini_old f.ex. 3.) open search.ini and add the following: HTML Code:
[Search Engine xx] Name=vB.org URL=http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/search.php Query=query=%s&do=process&titleonly=1&searchuser=&starteronly=0&exactname=1&replyless=0&replylimit=0&searchdate=0&beforeafter=after&sortby=lastpost&order=descending&showposts=0&forumchoice%5B%5D=0&childforums=1&dosearch=Search+Now&saveprefs=1 Key=vborg Encoding=utf-8 Is post=1 Has endseparator=0 Search Type=0 VerbText=17063 4.) close Opera, open it and type "vborg searchitem" into the addressbar. 5.) goback to search.ini and edit the settings to your liking NJOY!! |
