History:
This was initially a 2 template modifications i created, i felt it would be much easier making it into a simple product for people to install and customize in the settings.
What is Additional Notification Alert:
It's a really simple, customizable block that appears just above the forums which will alert the users of any notifications, there is also a setting to limit the notifications to PM only:
-STEP 1-
Download the attached install file (product-additionalalert.xml) and upload into admincp -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product. Remember to select Allow Overwrite.
-STEP 2-
Go into admincp -> Options -> [Boydy]Additional Notification Alert and Customize until your happy with the colour scheme! You can also enable for PM's only.
And that's it! Check out the screenshots, they are animated. Very simple but equally effective mod.

- Option to turn Modification on/off.
- Option to enable for PM only.
- jQuery drop/slide down for notifications.
- Option to change the block background colour.
- Option to change the block text colour.
- Option to change the block hyperlink colour.
- etc.
