I have seen a lot of styles, that are nice. But most of them are too bright for my tastes.
I also don't like styles that are pitch black either, so I came up with this as a middle ground. It's mostly deep blues with contrasts. I didn't edit any of the images except for the banner (which you may want to change).
This is my first hand at skinning so let me know what you think. ^_^
Demo Removed. If you use this on your site please post it so I can provide it as a demo.
P.S. the only widget I edited was the navigation menu (it's the only one I use) so you're going to have to edit the others if you want to use them.
